Acceleration is the gradual increase or decrease in the speed of an object.
Acceleration is measured in Meters/Second ^2. If an object has a lower mass, then the acceleration is generally higher than if an object has a heavier weight. Acceleration is used in Lacrosse after the ball leaves the pocket. When it first leaves the stick, it increses speed and is shot or passed. After a couple seconds in the air, the object slows down then falls back to the ground. Gravity and Air Resistance slows the object and gravity pushes it down 1. From Rest, Mr. Rizzi Accelerates in his smart car 10 m/s for 10 seconds. A) What is the position of the car at the 10 second mark? B) What is his Velocity after 10 seconds? 2) An object is shot out a window straight down at 15 m/s. It hits the ground at 30 m/s A) How high is the building B) How long is the object in the air? |
